An extraordinary walk to commemorate the 90th anniversary of the Bossom Air Crash on Hankley Common.

A real treat! This day (27th July) marks the 90th anniversary of the Bossom Air Crash on Hankley Common. Come along to St Michael and All Angel's, where the Reverend Hannah will offer a short (10 minute) memorial service at the graveside of the victims. We hope to have an honoured guest of Lady Barbara Bossom, wife of Bruce Bayne Bossom's brother. Lady Bossom might join us for part of the walk that follows, across Hankley Common to the memorial stones marking the exact places where the bodies of Bruce Bayne Bossom and his mother, Emily Bayne Bossom, were discovered. Now in her mid-nineties, her stories are incredible, and a chat with her makes the walk worth it alone. 

After the walk to the common, we return to the church on a slightly longer route.
