A historical new walk . We visit the cemetery at Brookwood for a good look around, visiting the sites of both the former necropolis stations, as well as the memorial to August Sangreat, the wigwam murderer. Then off to Pirbright to see their church and the site of Henry Morton Stanley's grave (as in Stanley of Dr Livingstone I presume). After meeting the crocodile, it's off through farmland and woodland to the Basingstoke canal and back to the station. This is a circular walk. We will NOT be stopping for a coffee break, but we will have a nice rest for a picnic lunch, probably on Pirbright Village Green after leaving the cemetery.
